1. Pencil Holder
You can use your old jars to hold all kinds of stationary items. This is a very easy way to repurpose those old jars but we love how it brightens up our arts and crafts desk. It might spark some new creativity.
2. Night Light Jar
This is a very easy DIY. All you need is a Led light that fits in your jar. It creates a very nice atmosphere. It's great as a night light on your outdoor table and also serves as a cool decoration for the Holidays. You can really use this year-round.
3. Plant Holder
You can use old jars as a translucent plant holder. It is pretty neat as you can see all the little roots. We would recommend that you select a plant that requires little water to survive so the soil is not over saturated with water. Another trick is to add some pebbles at the bottom of the jar so the water can run to the bottom to avoid moldy roots.
4. Potpourri Holder
This is another very easy DIY. We used some dried flowers we already had but you can use any flowers, leaves or even fruits and dry them in the oven. Just add a few drops of your favorite essential oils and you have a great homemade potpourri. Or you can get some store-bought ones, but we are all about using what you already have. ;)
5. Drinking Jar
We love to use the jars for delicious cocktails, homemade lemonade or ice teas. Of course you can fill them with your favorite drink. We especially enjoy a cool drink on our balcony in the summer heat (which is over now). Plus, the vibrant colors of the jars look great on any table. Just make sure you clean out the jars very well with hot water and soap.
6. Napkin and Silverware Holder
You can use your old Curious Candle jars to brighten up your dinner table and use it to hold a napkin and silverware. We know you can get very creative with using these colorful jars to decorate your table. You might not throw a lot of dinner parties right now but since we can't go out, it's nice to at least decorate for a special dinner every now and then. Have that romantic date night or surprise your roommate with a home cooked meal. These times call for some extra creativity and imagination.
7. Vase for Flowers
They also make a fabulous vase. Just buy some pretty flowers or if you're fortunate enough to have some growing in your garden, you can pluck some there of course. We like to match the color of the jar with the flowers but that's completely up to you.
8. Floating Tealight
You can simply use the jars to hold tealights. We especially love the floating tealights. If you have some, just fill the jar with some water and they make for great tealight holders. This way you will be able to enjoy the colorful glow from the jar again.
9. Food Storage Jar
Old jars make for great food storage and our colorful candle jars make sure they really stand out in your pantry. For this one, please make sure you clean out your jar very thoroughly before using it. We rinsed it with hot water and soap a few times to make sure it is safe to store food in it. We also recommend using food that doesn't need to be stored air tight. Nuts, seeds, legumes, pasta, or rice is ideal for this.⠀
